Greta Hermosillo
Coach
Greta picked up a racquet at 7 years old and has loved the game of tennis ever since. What started as a hobby has become a meaningful part of her life, and now she’s excited to share that passion with others.
A certified Tennis Instructor through the Tennis Professionals Association (TPA), Greta has about 1 year of hands-on coaching experience with Edmonton Tennis Community. She specializes in working with players ages 4–10, bringing a positive, encouraging attitude to every session. Her inspiration to coach comes from a desire to give back to her community, help kids discover a love for tennis, and be part of their growth both on and off the court. For her, nothing compares to the joy of seeing a child hit a milestone, like landing their very first serve.
One of Greta’s most memorable tennis moments goes back to her early days of learning, when her coach would yell “¡Mira la bola!” (“Watch the ball!”) every time she or her sister missed a shot. It was both surprising and funny—and it’s stuck with her as a reminder of how much joy and laughter tennis can bring.
