Why School Programs
ETC would like to incorporate tennis programs in elementary schools as part of the Physical Education (PE). Firstly, they introduce young students to a lifelong sport that promotes physical fitness, coordination, and overall health. Engaging in tennis at an early age helps develop fundamental motor skills, agility, and hand-eye coordination, which can have a positive impact on their overall athleticism.
Tennis fosters essential social skills like teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship, as students often play in pairs. Moreover, the sport encourages fair play and respect for opponents, instilling valuable life lessons in sportsmanship and discipline. By exposing children to tennis in PE classes, schools contribute to a well-rounded education that values both physical fitness and character development, setting the stage for a healthier and more active future for the students.
