Recognizing the Best in Alberta Tennis

Tennis Alberta is pleased to announce the recipients of the Coach Recognition Awardand the Club  Recognition Award for 2019. These awards recognize the outstanding contribution and dedication of Alberta’s coaches and clubs. Award winners were recognized on Tennis Day in Alberta during the Calgary National Bank Challenger.

Founded by Tennis Alberta, the Coach Recognition Award celebrates community leaders who have demonstrated leadership, initiative, effective coaching and personal growth throughout their career. The award also recognizes the outstanding contributions to various Tennis Alberta program and event initiatives.

The Club Recognition Award recognizes clubs which have dedicated their time and facilities to help develop the sport in Alberta. These clubs have been pivotal in hosting various provincial camps, clinics and tournaments. The Tennis Academy, Saville Community Sports Centre, and Osten & Victor Alberta Tennis Centre received Gold Recognition awards for going above and beyond expectations. Red Deer Tennis Club, The Royal Glenora Club and Garneau Tennis and Beach Volleyball Club received Silver Recognition awards.
